1.Fault description:
IT12,GT12 Pro,XT12 Pro,A7, A8, AE7, AE8, AX7 Pro, AX8 Pro experiences a blue screen after updating the system to Windows11 24h2.
2. Cause of the fault:
- Logging into a Microsoft account to use the computer will enable the BitLocker feature by default in Windows 11, protecting and encrypting the hard drive.
- During a system update, data on the hard drive is modified, but BitLocker prevents the update program from writing data to the drive, causing the system installation to fail. However, since the update process has already started, it also modifies the boot entries of the original system, making it impossible to access the previous system even after the update fails.
- BitLocker blocked the installation of the 24H2 system, so the first error screen prompts for the BitLocker recovery key. However, even after entering the key, the system cannot be accessed because the automatically installed update is incomplete, causing the system to loop on the current screen indefinitely.
3. Solution methods
- After the system automatically updates, it will restart and enter Bitlocker recovery. At this point, choose to restart by pressing ESC or the power button to restart.

B. After restarting, you will enter the keyboard layout selection screen, where you can choose based on the language you are currently using.

C. After selecting the keyboard layout, you will enter this page. Choose【Use another operating system】.

D. Select the third option to restore the system to the state before the update.

E. After selecting the system, it will restart. Wait for 3-5 minutes, and it will return to the system lock screen, restoring to the state before the update.

4.How to configure the computer to successfully update automatically to the Windows 11 24H2 version?
The reason for the update failure is the BitLocker feature, so you only need to disable BitLocker in the system settings to resolve the issue. The steps to disable BitLocker are as follows:
https://service.geekompc.com/faq/how-to-close-bitloker-or-restore-bitloker-key/
Steps:
- Press WIN + I to open Windows Settings. Navigate to Privacy & Security > Device Encryption. If “Device Encryption” is not displayed, this option is not available for your computer.
- Set in Control Panel > System and Security > BitLocker Drive Encryption Options, select the hard disk partition protected by BitLocker, click [Turn off BitLocker], and then follow the system prompts.
- Depending on your needs, turn device encryption on or off to disable it.

After disabling it, you can update to the 24H2 system normally. Once the update is successful, you can re-enable this feature in the settings.
